22-year-old Alexander Shevchenko could set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 94th after claiming the first Masters win of his career on Thursday, ousting J.J. Wolf in straight sets. The Russian won a Challenger event in Madrid earlier this month to get some excellent practice at the Spanish capital’s huge altitude and including that, and qualifying this week, he has won eight matches here this month for some serious form. World number 37 Jiri Lehecka will be the Russian's toughest foe yet but Shevchenko has nothing to lose as he breaks new ground at this level. 21-year-old Lehecka has improved his clay-court game this season as he steadily rises up the rankings and results over the likes of Emil Ruusuvuori and Grigor Dimitrov suggest he can overcome the qualifier here. This is a very tricky call between ability and form - very specific form in Shevchenko’s case. Leave this match out of an accumulator but back Lehecka to eventually find a way through.
