23-year-old Sebastian Baez came back from a set down to survive an early scare against Juan Pablo Varillas on Thursday but he should be better for it. The Argentine won his most prestigious of five ATP titles at the Rio Open last week to make it six wins on the spin now and that should prove too difficult a momentum for Jaume Munar to break. The world number 70 is yet to drop a set this week after ousting fellow Spaniards, Bernabe Zapata Miralles and Albert Ramos-Vinolas, but in-form Baez set a career-high ATP world ranking of 21st on Monday for a reason and he should enjoy the home-from-home support from the South American contingent in Santiago. Back Baez to win outright inside an accumulator or in straight sets on its own.
