Lumbini Lions continue to prove the gold standard in this year’s Nepal Premier League, as the 2025 champions sit top of the table this year. After their washout against Chitwan Rhinos, Lumbini got straight back to work and were razor sharp when they finally got back onto the field this past Tuesday, comfortably dispatching of Pokhara Avengers by eight wickets after chasing down 98 in just 11.4 overs.
Janakpur Bolts, meanwhile, are coming off the back of an agonising defeat at the hands of Biratnagar Kings, which saw the Bolts fall by just two runs. To lose in such narrow fashion will have proven really tough to take, and the negative effect it may have on this Janakpur squad cannot be underestimated. The Lions, by contrast, remain a winning machine and, in current form, should once again find themselves in the victory column.
