Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe prediction

Afghanistan won all six white ball fixtures against Zimbabwe leading up to this test series, while their most recent red ball game saw them play out a hard-fought draw with Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi. The Chevrons were victorious last time out in test cricket, thrashing Bangladesh by an innings. But that match took place and Harare and so far, Zimbabwe have been really poor in Sharjah, albeit in two limited overs formats.

We’ve seen plenty of success for spinners on this ground already through the white ball games and the same is expected in this test match. It’s also hard not to see Afghanistan maintaining their stronghold over Zimbabwe when considering how much better they’ve been than the tourists in the UAE. Back an Afghanistan victory, but also for spin-bowler Qais Ahmad to take advantage of conditions and register over 5.5 wickets, should he be selected.

Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe tip: Afghanistan to win and Qais Ahmad to take over 5.5 match wickets
