Lumbini Lions had their last game against Chitwan Rhinos washed out, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s been a good start to the tournament. They are well placed in the table with three points from two matches and a very high net run rate. This serves as an excellent opportunity to increase that tally against a Pokhara Avengers side who are rock bottom of the table.
As it stands, the Avengers are the only team yet to put a victory on the board, having lost to both Sudurpaschim Royals and, most recently, Janakpur Bolts. While Pokhara put up a good fight against the Bolts, ultimately a target of 148 proved too much for them, as they finished on 138/9.
But Pokhara are running into a very strong Lumbini side, who are already established as one of the best in the competition. The Lions’ top order looked impressive when they were last able to play, and a similar story is expected this time around. Ultimately, it would be a surprise if Lumbini weren’t to get the better of Pokhara.
