Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades prediction

Hobart Hurricanes will be delighted to come home after what has been a bad start to their season as reigning WBBL champions. A defeat to Melbourne Stars was followed up by a disastrous 87-run thrashing at the hands of Sydney Sixers, which saw the Hobart bowlers flayed to all parts by Sixers captain Ashleigh Gardner, who struck a brilliant 124.

However, the Hurricanes should prove a far different, more intimidating outfit at home, with Ninja Stadium always a difficult place to go for any opponent. Melbourne Renegades head to Tasmania on the back of a terrible start themselves, losing to Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers respectively.

If ever there was a game for Hobart Hurricanes to turn things around, this would be it. The Renegades have been less than impressive, and the lack of cutting edge from their bowlers is something that should be taken advantage of here by the home side. Therefore, back the title holders to put their first points on the board this year, provided the weather doesn’t disrupt proceedings too much.
