Former world number eight Diego Schwartzman takes on current number eight Jannik Sinner in what could be a thrilling contest on Wednesday. 21-year-old Sinner reached the quarter-finals here last summer with an incredible four-set win over Carlos Alcaraz before an equally impressive performance in a five-set defeat to eventual champion Novak Djokovic. The Italian looked assured on Monday, conceding just six games to Juan Manuel Cerundolo in a mis-match on grass, but he will face a tougher prospect in this second-successive Argentine. Current world number 98 Schwartzman looks to be, tentatively, repairing his form after a dreadful past 12 months on tour. The 30-year-old conceded just seven games to a tough player in Miomir Kecmanovic on Monday and a run to the third round at Roland-Garros last month was an encouraging sign. Sinner leads Schwartzman 3-0 in their head-to-head and he looks more than likely to extend that here but the sensible concession is an outright win against a great competitor.
