JACK DRAPER VS JESPER DE JONG PREDICTION
World number 39 Jack Draper has impressed in patches of this season’s clay swing on what has so far proved to be his least effective surface. The 22-year-old is working on playing more aggressive tennis under new coach Wayne Ferreira and he has not been embarrassed at all in his five exits on clay so far, losing to two eventual finalists and three top 10 foes to suggest he can enjoy a strong first week in Paris.
World number 176 Jesper de Jong qualified very handily to make the main draw at Roland-Garros for the first time and he came back from a set down to beat Pedro Cachin on his overall Grand Slam debut in Melbourne back in January. The Dutchman is probably the more comfortable in these conditions but back Draper to have too much for his opponent in this first encounter.
