THE PREDICTION
It would be easy to say that world number one Iga Swiatek is finding her feet on grass here at the Bad Homburg Open but whilst the hurry is still out on her efficacy at Wimbledon next week, she has seriously improved in the surface here. The 22-year-old made it 10 wins on the spin from lifting her fourth Grand Slam title, and third Roland-Garros trophy, through to the semi-finals here with a customary straight-sets dismissal of Anna Blinkova on Thursday and she looks the overwhelming favourite to complete the set of surfaces with the title on Saturday. World number 65 Lucia Bronzetti only recently won her maiden WTA title at the Rabat Open on her favoured clay but she has performed well this week on grass, beating Mayar Sherif and Varvara Gracheva impressively in her past two rounds. A first meeting with Swiatek is likely to go only one way but this could be tighter than expected with the Italian’s confidence up. The reasonable call is still taking Swiatek to win in straight sets.
