This first meeting between world number 19 Francisco Ceundolo and number 37 Jiri Lehecka looks a strong candidate for five sets on Thursday. 24-year-old Cerundolo made it five wins on the spin on grass after coming back from a set down to beat Nuno Borges on Wednesday, with a slow start to be expected after lifting the Eastbourne International title on Saturday. The Argentine beat world number 15 Tommy Paul to the title in Eastbourne to bring a career-high ranking into SW19 and he should be aiming to emulate his career-best run to the round of 16 at Roland-Garros last month, where he lost out in five sets to Holger Rune. 21-year-old Lehecka reached the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time at the Australian Open in January and the hard-hitting Czech has the potential to transfer that prowess to grass. Lehecka lost to eventual champions Frances Tiafoe and Carlos Alcaraz at Stuttgart and Queen’s, respectively, last month to look strong on the surface but Cerundolo is enjoying the form of his career right now. Consider a one-off on five sets here or back the Argentine to edge through.
