The 22-year-old reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon in 2021 to prove his credentials on grass but Tiafoe did the same last summer and the elder American leads their head-to-head 3-1 to look the reasonable favourite here. This should be a thrilling end to Wednesday’s play and three sets look likely as three of their four previous matches have gone the distance.
