THE PREDICTION

World number 12 Felix Auger-Aliassime won his first four ATP titles last season to finally break his duck but the Canadian has struggled hard this year with form and, for the first time, injuries. The 22-year-old has lost three of his last four matches on tour and withdrawn from two of his last three tournaments to throw real doubts over his readiness to take on Wimbledon, where he reached the quarter-finals in 2021 before defeat to eventual champion Matteo Berrettini. This looks a kind enough opener against an out-of-sorts Filip Krajinovic as the Serb drags a sorry 3-12 record and a 10-match losing streak into the first round but it is hard to back Auger-Aliassime with any sort of confidence right now. It could be worth leaving this match alone altogether until we see what the Canadian can produce on Monday but otherwise take him to win outright.
