THE PREDICTION

This is an excellent opportunity for one of world number 85 Daniel Elahi Galan and number 233 Oscar Otte to reach the third round of Wimbledon for the second time each. Both players have endured woeful seasons so far, with Otte bringing a 5-13 record into SW19 and Galan winning his third match of the year on Monday with an impressive upset over 24th seed Yoshihito Nishioka. Former world number 36 Otte first came to prominence here two years ago when he took Andy Murray to five sets before defeat in the second round and the German enjoyed last season’s grass swing, with two semi-finals in Stuttgart and Halle, to look the better in these conditions. Otte qualified well last week before a straight-sets victory over fellow German Dominik Koepfer and his momentum after four wins on the surface could be the deciding factor here. Sets should go both ways but back Otte to earn at least two of them and consider adding at least a tiebreak for good measure.
