THE PREDICTION
30-year-old Damir Dzumhur will move back inside the top 200 on tour after reaching the quarter-finals of the Banja Luka Open on home soil with an excellent three-set win over Richard Gasquet. The Bosnian set a career-high ATP world ranking of 23rd back in 2018 but he has since drifted way back into obscurity, with this inaugural tournament in his country offering a rare moment in the sun again. This looks several steps too far now, though, against world number six Andrey Rublev as the Russian rides a six-match winning streak into the quarter-finals after winning his first Masters title at the Monte-Carlo Masters last week. 25-year-old Rublev avoided the potential banana skin of a tricky first match back on solid Earth with a straight-sets victory over Juan Pablo Varillas and despite the partisan atmosphere here he should be too powerful for Dzumhur. Rublev leads their head-to-head 4-0 and he can make it five here in straight sets.
