27-year-old Camilla Rosatello received a wildcard to the main draw at the Italian Open as one of eight Italian hopefuls. The world number 296 has managed just two wins on the ITF circuit all season, though, to look the sever underdog in this first meeting with Claire Liu. World number 56 Liu is just four places from her career-high ranking after some recent strong work on the Sunshine Double but she has lost all three of her matches on clay since the start of April, including off the tour last week.
