World number 13 Cam Norrie reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon last summer and took the first set from eventual champion Novak Djokovic before defeat. The 27-year-old has an unorthodox, disruptive playstyle suitable for all surfaces but home advantage and a tireless engine certainly make him an outside contender for a deep run here at Wimbledon until he meets someone of top five quality. World number 107 Tomas Machac is a serious hard-hitter with plenty of strong attributes for grass-court tennis but he will make his Wimbledon debut on Tuesday after qualifying via an injury to Lucas Pouille on Thursday. The 22-year-old is a better player than his current deflated ranking suggests but this looks a good match-up for Norrie, who can be backed to win his opener in straight sets to give home fans something to get behind.
