World number 69 Rebeka Masarova conceded just five games to Aliaksandra Sasnovich, who made the semi-finals of the Libema Open on grass just two weeks ago, on Sunday for an impressive opener in Bad Homburg and the Spaniard feels like the slightest of favourites on current form. The pair have not met each other since Masarova beat Andreescu in the semi-finals of the 2017 Junior Australian Open and whilst that result should have little bearing here it does help back the Spaniard to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.
