THE PREDICTION
If Novak Djokovic is fit enough to face Alex de Minaur in the first match we can assume that Ajla Tomljanovic will carry the weight of the nation on her shoulders in this vital clash. Hosts Australia will back themselves to win the deciding doubles against Djokovic and world number 121 Olga Danilovic but they need a miracle from De Minaur or a first win since September from Tomljanovic, to make that happen. 30-year-old Tomljanovic looked improved on her opening defeat to Katie Boulter in a straight-sets defeat to Jessica Pegula on Monday but 22-year-old Danilovic has impressed this week at the United Cup, taking world number seven Marketa Vondrousova to three sets before defeat on Tuesday.
