THE PREDICTION
This is a seriously tough draw for world number seven Andrey Rublev. The 25-year-old would be forgiven for feeling hard done-by by the draw Gods at Wimbledon after a solid straight-sets opener over Max Purcell early on Monday as he faces the enigmatic former world number 14 Aslan Karatsev. 29-year-old Karatsev beat Rublev in three sets to reach the Dubai Tennis Championships final in 2021 in their only previous encounter but after a woeful 2022 season he has enjoyed a resurgence this year, recently making the semi-finals at the Madrid Masters.
