Bublik’s form is all the more impressive given his notorious tendency to wander mentally mid-match but he possesses all the qualities required to thrive on grass with some mercurial talent and a powerful serve, with this a huge opportunity to make the round of 16 at a Grand Slam for the first time. This should prove a step too far for the German but Bublik’s level is still a flight risk for now, so backing the 23rd seed to win outright looks the sensible option.
