World number six Andrey Rublev made it seven wins on the spin by finally ending the heroic run of world number 202 Damir Dzumhur in straight sets on Friday. The 25-year-old finally won his first Masters event last weekend at the Monte-Carlo Open with an excellent comeback over Holger Rune and it will be fascinating to see how that changes him moving forwards after a few seasons of quite uncomfortable aggression towards himself on court. World number 73 Alex Molcan overcame Laslo Djere on Friday to make it three three-set wins on the spin in Banja Luka and he is capable of tennis much better than his current ranking suggests, particularly on clay. A first meeting between the two could come a lot closer than some expect here but Rublev will know how good of a chance he has to make it back-to-back titles after Novak Djokovic was upset on Friday and it would be a surprise to see him drop the ball in this form. Back the Russian to win outright, though, with three sets a distinct possibility.
