THE PREDICTION

World number 42 Sebastian Baez came back from a set down to beat Daniel Elahi Galan on Tuesday in his first match back since winning his third ATP title at the Kitzbuhel Open earlier this month. A six-match winning streak is a powerful momentum to bring into this first encounter with Aleksandar Vukic but the Aussie looks the slight favourite in his favoured conditions after enjoying such a transformative month on tour. The 27-year-old broke the top 50 earlier this month after finishing runner-up to Taylor Fritz at the Atlanta Open, his first tour final, before then stunning both Borna Coric and Sebastian Korda en-route to the round of 16 at the Canada Masters. A three-set victory over Luca Van Assche here on Tuesday suggests there is a little fragility present but take Vukic to earn at least a set in his current form to leave the victor up to chance.
