THE PREDICTION
Adrian Mannarino did the job as first seed here at the Singapore Open with a comfortable straight-sets victory over Roberto Marcora and the Frenchman has an excellent shot at a second career title if he continues in this form. Despite winning his other at ‘s-Hertogenbosch on grass in 2019, indoor hard courts suit the flat-hitting left-hander and he beat Radu Albot in very similar conditions just last November in the quarter-finals of the Sofia Open. 31-year-old Albot has come through two three-set matches to reach this stage of the Singapore Open but Mannarino is currently a little ahead of the Moldovan on quality and this should result in a three-set victory for the Frenchman, just as it did in Sofia. Albot can often force a decider against the players ranked above him.
