THE PREDICTION

World number 39 Kei Nishikori continued his strong return to the tour this season with a tightly-contested three-set victory over Aljaz Bedene on Saturday. The 31-year-old is targeting a return to the top 10, where he last was ranked when he beat a teenage Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Tokyo Open in 2018. Since then, world number five Tsitsipas has come on leaps and bounds but the Greek will never have a better opportunity to win his first Masters event than at this Miami Open with so many top players missing from the draw. Nishikori has every chance of taking this match all the way to a deciding set tiebreak if he plays to his best ability but Tsitsipas knows his opportunities more than most and his sheer determination should see him win this match in straight sets.
