The24-year-old made it through to the semi-finals of the Chile Open recently but definitely provided one of the best performances of his career and the Colombian will be buzzing ahead of this first tour-level meeting with Lorenzo Sonego. 24th
seed Sonego will know not to underestimate Galan after yesterday and came through a tough test from Bjorn Fratengelo in his first match in Miami to prove he has the wherewithal to come through this third round match too. Sonego has several gears left in him that we are yet to see this year but the Italian should be able to come through in straight sets here with Galan’s surprise factor now dissipated.
