THE PREDICTION
World number 32 Taylor Fritz blitzed past Marcos Giron ion the second round of the Miami Open to continue his hot streak of form. The 23-year-old made the semi-finals of the Qatar Open earlier this month and has required the likes of Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev to knock him out of recent tournaments, though most importantly he is performing again after a torrid spell of form last season. This is well-journeyed match-up already between the American and world number 56 Cameron Norrie, with the British number two leading their head-to-head record 3-2 after two victories last year, the first of which came in Florida. Emil Ruusuvuori’s felling of Alexander Zverev stole the headlines in the second round but Cam Norrie put in an excellent performance to beat the ninth seed Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets and that was his second top 20 victory in just over a week after he beat Fabio Fognini in Acapulco last Thursday. Given that both players are in excellent personal form, and that their last three meetings have gone to a deciding set, take this match to see three sets and leave a winner up to chance.
