24-year-old Lloyd Harris shot up the ATP world rankings after his run to the finals of the Dubai Open last week where he eventually lost to 2021’s sleeper agent Aslan Karatsev in straight sets. Now at a more suitable world number 52, Harris looks well capable of continuing his trend upwards and avoided a hangover from his defeat in the final last week with a straight-sets first round win yesterday over Emilio Nava. Back on the horse, Harris has a real shot against Roberto Bautista Agut here as the Spaniard has played well in parts of this season but fallen short in two recent finals and to Jannik Sinner last week in matches he should be winning. The seventh seed here is still the solid favourite but it should take a deciding set to divide the two and in that case taking this match at three sets and leaving it there seems the wisest move.
