THE PREDICTION
It will be an almost immediate rematch between Kei Nishikori and Aljaz Bedene in the second round of the Miami Open after their first ever meeting came in the round of 16 at the Dubai Open last week. 31-year-old Nishikori won that encounter in straight sets as part of a strong run at the ATP 500 event as he slowly makes his way back towards the upper echelons of the game and world number 59 Bedene should struggle to exact revenge here. The Slovenian did well to fend off a fightback from Thomas Fabbiano in the first round but Nishikori will be desperate for an eye-catching run in Miami as a Florida resident and the big stage should help the 28th seed through to the third round by way of straight sets once again.
