World number 44 Alexander Bublik just snuck into the seeds here in Miami as the 32nd and faces Laslo Djere for the first time in his career. 23-year-old Bublik has managed to find 19 matches on tour already this season as surely one of the busiest players so far in 2021 so a bye to this second round match is welcome. Laslo Djere came through a tight three-set match with Jiri Vesely on Wednesday which should give the Serb some feel back on hard courts but it is likely that the clay specialist will be out-gunned against Bublik with his hefty hard-court match practice.
