THE PREDICTION
World number one Ash Barty played well on her third-straight Grandstand match with a three-set victory over Victoria Azarenka in the round of 16. The 24-year-old Aussie has not had things all her own way so far in Miami with two sets dropped and she will face a player with whom she trails in a 3-2 head-to-head record in the quarter-finals. Seventh seed Aryna Sabalenka beat Barty in their last meeting, a semi-final at the 2019 Wuhan Open in straight sets, and twice more in 2018 without dropping a set, although Barty is arguably still improving all the time. Sabalenka was in control throughout her round of 16 match against Marketa Vondrousova, though her Czech opponent was out of sorts throughout. Barty will be a solid favourite to level their record and should be able to navigate a win but this match looks like needing a deciding set and so taking the Aussie to win in three, or simply a total of 3 sets, is up to you.
