World number 123 Denis Kudla will play just his second tour-level match this year in the first round of the Miami Open and a loss in three sets to Tallon Grieskpoor last week in Acapulco does not bode well for his chances against this version of Chardy. The Frenchman’s powerful forehand has been better than ever this season and if the draw is kind to him he could go on quite the run at this tournament.
