22-year-old Corentin Moutet continued his excellent form to clay to stun the Estoril Open first seed Denis Shapovalov on Thursday, beating the world number 14 in three sets. The diminutive Frenchman can pose a unique challenge on court when he is on song and 33-year-old Albert Ramos-Vinolas will have to have all of his wits about him to come through here. The Spaniard has not yet dropped a set in wins over Fernando Verdasco and Pierre-Hugues Herbert to reach the quarter-finals and it has taken the likes of Andrey Rublev. Jannik Sinner and Pablo Carreno Busta to knock him out of his last three clay tournaments. Moutet will be a challenge but Ramos-Vinolas’ vast experience on this surface should help him come through here. The pair share a 1-1 head-to-head record, with Ramos-Vinolas winning their only previous meeting on clay.
