Chile Open first seed and home hope Cristian Garin has motored through the draw without dropping a set to reach the final in his native Santiago. The 24-year-old beat Daniel Elahi Galan in straight sets on Saturday and is just one match away now from a fifth ATP title, all of which have come on his favoured surface clay. He will have to be at his best to face world number 118 Facundo Bagnis, though, as the Argentine has been in excellent form throughout this South American swing and has surprised many players on the way to a Cordoba Open semi-final and the finals here, including Laslo Djere, Frances Tiafoe and Federico Delbonis twice after their meeting yesterday. The 31-year-old will be the underdog here but he has utilised that position well over the last few weeks and it would not be a surprise to see him provide an upset. However, the reasonable outcome is that world number 22 Cristian Garin gets to win his first title in his native Chile here and most likely in straight sets. Alternatively, take Garin to win and at least one tiebreak in the match.
