THE PREDICTION
This looks set to be a pretty robust quarter-final clash between Serbia’s Filip Krajinovic and Munich Open home favourite Jan-Lennard Struff with both players strong on this surface. World number 36 Krajinovic just about received a bye to the round of 16 as the fourth seed here and then a fast-track through to the quarter-finals after Yannick Hanfmann pulled out so he will play his first match since losing to Matteo Berrettini at last week’s Serbia Open. It remains to be seen if that helps or hinders him but 31-year-old Struff is coming in hot after a competitive three-set victory over Dominik Koepfer on Thursday in keeping with his strong first round performance. They last met seven years ago when Krajinovic won on clay, in Germany, at the Hamburg Open but Struff is possibly the better player right now and his momentum should see him win this outright.
