THE PREDICTION
World number six Alexander Zverev is aiming to win the Munich Open for a third time this week and got off to a comfortable start with a straight-sets win over Ricardas Berankis. The German number one will face Ilya Ivashka for the first time and the Belarusian has been in great form of late, most notably taking the first set off eventual Barcelona Open champion Rafael Nadal last week. Ivashka’s strengths are likely to be cancelled out a little here as he faces a similarly tall, powerful player like Zverev and the first seed should find this a challenging quarter-final clash but ultimately come through in straight sets.
