THE PREDICTION

Diego Schwartzman looks in better shape this week than the Cordoba Open last week as he targets a fourth career title and the Argentine will be keen on winning his first in his native Argentina. The 28-year-old is yet to drop a set in Buenos Aires but Miomir Kecmanovic will be his first real test here. The fourth seed overcame fellow Serb Laslo Djere in the quarter-finals to reach his first semi-final for some time and the world number 42 looks to be coming into some form after a difficult season last year. During that difficult period, he met Diego Schwartzman for the first time in the first round of Roland-Garros and took just four games off the Argentine in a thrashing. World number nine Schwartzman was in better form then than he is now but that performance on clay suggests he can be confident of reaching the final here with a second win against the young Serb. Set-wise this looks a difficult one to side with but at a push Schwartzman can take this in two.
