Andaluicia Open first seed Pablo Carreno Busta conceded just four games in his quarter-final match against South Korea’s Soonwoo Kwon on Friday and has yet to drop a set all tournament. 29-year-old Carreno Busta is now by far the best player in the draw here in Marbella and looks set to claim his fifth career ATP title unless he seriously takes his eye off the prize. World number 47 Albert Ramos-Vinolas is a an excellent clay-court player but realistically his level is some way below the explosiveness of the world number 15. Ramos-Vinolas needed three sets to beat Norbert Gombos on Friday after another three-set victory over Ricardas Berankis and whilst his endeavour is admirable, Carreno Busta is a wholly more difficult test. Carreno Busta leads their head-to-head record 2-1 and looks well capable of extending that to three with a straight-sets victory here.
