Syria vs South Sudan prediction

Syria come into this one on the back of finishing AFC Asian Cup qualification extremely well with a 5-0 hammering of Pakistan last week. That means the Syrians have suffered just one defeat, against the United Arab Emirates, in their last seven matches.

South Sudan, coached by former Madagascar boss Nicolas Dupuis, were extremely underwhelming in CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with five draws and five defeats in their ten matches.

South Sudan were harder to score against than most weak African sides and so Syria may not find it straightforward but they have to be viewed as firm favourites for this one.

Syria vs South Sudan tip: Syria to win & under 3.5 goals
