Sydney FC vs Newcastle Jets prediction

The main worry for Newcastle Jets recently has been them not being able to shut out their opponents. They’ve conceded in each of their last two and whilst they wound up too strong for rock-bottom Western Sydney Wanderers, Auckland FC did not let them off the hook, beating the Jets by two goals to one.

It doesn’t get much easier for Newcastle as they now travel to Sydney FC, who also lost their most recent game, but have only been defeated in eight of 21 A-League games this season. Sydney FC’s attacking threat is notable and whilst Newcastle will surely find the net at least once with the offensive prowess they possess going forward, their recent defensive frustrations may rear their ugly head again, so consider backing both teams to score.
