Sutjeska vs Kairat prediction

In the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie at Almaty Central Stadium in Kazakhstan, Kairat defeated Sutjeska Niksic by two goals to one. Lucas Africo and Marc Gual scored second half goals for the Kazakhs either side of a 90th minute equaliser struck by forward Marko Mrvaljevic.

Sutjeska headed into their qualifying campaign on the back of three successive defeats against Borac Banja Luka, Mornar Bar and Sarajevo. Kairat defeated the likes of Slovan Bratislava and Celtic on penalties last season to reach the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

Kairat were not convincing in their first-leg but playing on the counter-attack may well be beneficial for them as they try to push into the second qualifying round.
