Sunderland vs Blackburn prediction

Former Lorient boss Regis Le Bris has done a good job in charge of what is a very young Sunderland squad and they begin this round of fixtures sitting firmly in fourth place in the second-tier. The Black Cats were beaten by two goals to one at Ashton Gate by Bristol City on Friday in a game in which they did have a half-time lead.

Blackburn Rovers, with former Barnsley and West Bromwich Albion boss Valerian Ismael at the helm, come into this one on the back of surprising back-to-back victories as they annihilated playoff chasing Millwall by four goals to one at Ewood Park on Good Friday thanks to a Sondre Tronstad brace as well as strikes from Dom Hyam and Callum Brittain.

Sunderland are coasting towards the end of the season and will want to avoid injury issues in the playoffs and that may well play into the hands of the now seemingly in-form visitors.

Sunderland vs Blackburn tip: Double chance – Blackburn to win or draw
