Strasbourg preview: Back-to-back defeats

Following the appointment of Portuguese coach Hugo Oliveira, Strasbourg started the season well with two wins and a draw in their opening four matches but they have now succumbed to back-to-back defeats either side of the international break.

The home team come into this one on the back of once again likely relegation battlers Nice by two goals to one at the Allianz Riviera after Strasbourg had taken a 41st minute lead via Chelsea loanee Dario Essugo.

Paris Saint-Germain preview: Brilliant in midweek

In midweek, Paris Saint-Germain raced into a 3-0 lead against Manchester City in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League before going on to enjoy a 4-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Luis Enrique’s Parisians have remained very impressive in Europe this season and their results have improved in Ligue 1 but performances domestically have remained fairly underwhelming.

Strasbourg team news: Fresh doubts

Strasbourg have some fresh injury issues for this one as both Ismael Doukoure and Sebastian Nanasi are now doubts with Martial Godo and Joaquin Panichelli sidelined.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Jorgensen; Antwi, Jeyland Mitchell, Coulibaly, Oso; Sousa, Diop, Essugo; Yassine, Harder, Amo-Ameyaw

Unavailable: Godo (Injured), Panichelli (Injured)

Questionable: Doukoure (Injured), Nanasi (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain team news: Heavy rotation

As ever, Luis Enrique is expected to heavily rotate between UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 games, with Senny Mayulu remaining sidelined due to a thigh injury.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Willian Pacho, Digne; Vitinha, Neves, Fabian Ruiz; Doue, Ferran Torres, Kvaratskhelia

Unavailable: Mayulu (Injured)

Questionable:

Strasbourg vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction

Those unconvincing performances in Ligue 1 from PSG continued against newly-promoted Le Mans at the Parc des Princes last weekend, requiring Luis Enrique ringing the changes at one apiece before easing to a 3-1 victory in the capital city. Strasbourg will be confident of bloodying the nose of the visitors but PSG remain firm favourites at Stade de la Meinau.
