Mark Robins’ Stoke City come into this one on the back of an excellent start to the season, with the Potters beginning with three victories from three matches in the Championship. However, they did head into the break on the back of a 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion in a Staffordshire derby at home.
They now face a Birmingham City side that broke the all-time EFL points tally to win League One last season and the Blues have continued to be ambitious in the transfer window this summer. They have collected seven points from their opening four matches, with promotion the aim once again.
This is a game between two sides that will both be positive and have had strong starts, and that should mean an entertaining clash for the neutral unfolds in Stoke-on-Trent.
