The prediction

Last week saw St Kilda register their first win of the 2026 season by holding off a late Greater Western Sydney comeback at Engie Stadium, ending a run of four straight losses against the Giants.

The Saints led by 39 points at one point but were pegged back by their opponents, with their margin of victory just four points when the final whistle was blown.

Brisbane's premiership defence has got off to the worst possible start having lost their first two games of the season, most recently suffering a 44-point defeat at the hands of Sydney two weeks ago.

The Lions return to action after sitting out Round 2, and that has allowed them to recoup a number of their previously injured players, namely Logan Morris and Hugh McCluggage.

That should give the champions a significant boost, and we're expecting them to bounce back from a poor start and show their class here.
