St Gallen vs Sheriff prediction
St Gallen eventually eased to a comfortable 3-1 defeat of Sheriff Tiraspol in Transnistria last week in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League. A late goal in that game had given St Gallen a potentially crucial cushion here.
In the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, St Gallen beat Benfica in Switzerland before being knocked out after a 5-0 thrashing at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. Sheriff have been regressing for some time and their European form has been an example of that.
St Gallen showed real quality at home against Benfica and that should continue with a comfortable victory in the second-leg in Switzerland on Thursday.
