Sri Lanka vs Maldives prediction

These two sides played out a friendly the other day, in a two-part exhibition over the September international break, with the Maldives hammering the Sri Lankans by three goals to nil in Colombo over the weekend.

The Sri Lankans, under the management of Abdullah Al Mutairi, are currently ranked 196th in the world according to FIFA. That is up from their lowest ever ranking of number 207 in October 2022. They now face a Maldives side that are ranked 171st in the world and have been slightly improving over the last few years, despite the fact that they are without a manager for this break.

The Maldives were impressive and comfortable in victory the other day, and the same is to be expected as Sri Lanka seek to restore some pride in the capital city this week.
