Sri Lanka have won one and lost two of their opening three matches, bowled out for just 98 in their most recent outing against the West Indies on Sunday. The Sri Lankans had also been hammered by England before a five-wicket win against New Zealand.
Ireland are the only team in Group B to have lost three out of three in this summer’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The Irish were bowled out for 121 against Scotland, losing by 40 runs, before being restricted to just 118-9 against England and then 136-4 against New Zealand.
Ireland have improved in each game thus far but Sri Lanka are in do or die territory and so siding with the Sri Lankans is the way to go for this one in Bristol.
