Spain vs Serbia prediction

Luis de la Fuente and La Roja remain one of the leading contenders for the 2026 FIFA World Cup but there are wrinkles to iron out with the UEFA Euro 2024 winners expected to be heavily changed from that team, both in defence and attack, to this team.

Serbia have spent the last decade or so building a squad of players that many would describe as dark horses for nearly every tournament they go in to - and yet they always underperform. For just the second time since independence and playing as ‘Serbia’, they will not be at the FIFA World Cup this summer.

Despite their personnel issues and, some would say, deficiencies, Spain remain slick and stylish as well as effective, and should earn a comfortable victory in Castellon at the home of Villarreal.

Spain vs Serbia tip: Spain to win -1 handicap
