South Africa began their tournament by being bundled out for just 107 in a 65-run hammering at the hands of Australia before getting back on track with a two-wicket win against Pakistan and then a dramatic six-wicket win against India with Marizanne Kapp hitting an unbeaten 81 from 45 balls to chase 159 in just 19.1 overs.
They now face a Netherlands side that, alongside Pakistan, have succumbed to three defeats from three in Group A and have already been eliminated. The Dutch were beaten by six wickets by Bangladesh, then by 95 runs by India and then 98 runs by Australia.
The Netherlands have done well to reach the tournament and South Africa should continue to find their feet as they seek to topple India and join Australia in the semi-finals in this group.
