Sonay Kartal vs Daria Kasatkina prediction
Sonay Kartal produced a brilliant display in round one of the China Open as she defeated Alycia Parks in straight sets. The Briton did not even concede a break point as she broke the Parks serve on three separate occasions to win 6-3 6-2. Kartal has got through to the round-of-16 at Wimbledon and Indian Wells this season.
Her second-round opponent is Daria Kasatkina. Despite making the final last year, it was not a successful Korea Open for the Australian, as she was defeated early on by Katerina Siniakova. It has not been the strongest of seasons for Kasatkina, who has failed to go beyond the third-round of a tournament since the French Open nearly four months ago.
Kartal also leads the head-to-head after upsetting Kasatkina in the first-round of Queen’s Club earlier in the year. She is a strong competitor and could force this one into a deciding set.
